maidanas punching power is overrated because of ortiz quitting, he hit morales more times than he hit khan and couldn't get him out of there and also looked crap against corley.

i think he has the more thudding, accumilative type of power and he needs a lot of help with his technique/in fighting, when he had khan hurt he was trying to throw wide looping shots and armuppercuts if that makes sense, hopefully rudy perez will fix that all.

He has the best chin, like. I mean he is a P4P great great, like. He took all of Maidana's arm punches, like.

The extra weight from lightweight could have helped it but to say one of the best chin's is overrating it I think

It might sound slighty big headed saying he has the best chin in boxing which he has not by a long way but it has seemed to have improved since prescott fight. but i suppose he has to say comment like this for his own self confidence and belief when going into a big fight because what the point of going into a fight with the mind set of i'm chinny i could get nocked out. so good luck to him on Saturday night :)

Amir is mustard in interviews. Tons of classic comments.

" I'm popular all over the world, man. It's crazy, America, India, ****stan, Russia, er China...and i don't even speak Chinese."

" I become world champion in 3.5 years. Not even Hatton (correct) or Calzaghe did that. It took Calzaghe summat like 6..7 years y'know"

Should be a sticky for this sort of pure gold..

his chin is OK but i guess there is nothing wrong with some self-beleif. I know a majority of ppl rejected any chance of Khan's chin improving when he was KO'd by Prescott

Do people on here actually think that Khan took Maidanas best punches? From what I can remember, Maidana was pretty much out on his feet by the 10th round. Yes Khan took some big clean shots, but he didn't take anywhere near Maidanas best IMO.

He's improved massively under Roach, but the question marks about his chin is still there for me. I know there is talk about him fighting Mayweather, but for me Khan vs Ortiz is the fight at 147 I want to see him in.
