The test will be 10 failed contract negotiations with 3 absurd requests per contract, followed by a retirement and a break. If he passes the test, the fight is almost sure to maybe happen!

And Floyd did say he'd fight the winner. Then again, he also challenged Winky years ago only to back out when he accepted.

Tough fight. Much tougher than a Pacquiao fight in my opinion. Martinez has size, good boxing ability, and a superb jab.

about time he stepped up to the plate and fought someone in their prime and about his same size. de la hoya was past his prime and floyd did not dominate him

It was a clear decision victory however. But I do agree it was not "domination."

I disagree about the size though. Martinez is bigger and to me is the legitimate middleweight champion. That's a step up of 2 weight classes to take on the top guy in the division. Tall order considering Mayweather has never weighed in at more than 150 pounds.

Yeah and then Floyd should fight the Klitschkos unless he is scared...

That's what I like to see, top fighters not running from testing. There are some really good fights for Floyd now with Pac, Khan, and eventually Martinez. It's great for boxing, the fans, and the boxers' pockets. Some of these big fights have to happen, instead of just BS talking and failed negotiations.

I'd love to see this fight.....I don't know if Martinez is too big but if the Pacquiao fight can't be made I think this would be a terrific fight to be made!

Different breeds of people. We dont attack any legit threat to our fighter. Unlike some other species.

Why would they attack sergio. If sergio can make 154 then this will be a great fight for floyd, however it isn't a fight I would advise him to take anytime soon.

First deal with Ortiz, then Pac (if he willing to take tests) then Khan then martinez then retire.

Martinez would be floyd's toughest fight of his career.
