Who's more of a 'World Champ,' the winner of this fight, or Antonio Tarver? I'm going with this fight despite its dog**** title status.

Atlas wanted Potvetkin to train in the US so he could fulfill his commitment with ESPN.
Potvetkin's people KNEW when Teddy signed on that during the FNF season that he would be training his guys in the US.
In this modern age of mass transportation, a compromise should be made for the sake of both Atlas and Potvetkin.
It looks to me that this is just Potvetkins way of pulling loose of Atlas, or viceversa.

Tarver by leaps and bounds. He fought a title holder who beat a title holder and made defenses of that title.:rofl

Don't call it a "title shot"... it's for a worthless, fake polystyrene belt.

Commitment to ESPN ??? As if they would not give him time off. Atlas always pulls stunts with people, ****s them over. He screwed up title shot with Klitschko, and waited till last second to **** up that one.

When would he train him? He has Olympics in summer, and does he expect them to schedule everything around him? Atlas had something up his sleeve when he signed to train Povetkin, what it is only he knows.

My guess is that Sauerland has been pushing Atlas into the margins for several months now, trying to ease him out of Povetkin's career. Atlas and Povetkin are probably bowing to the inevitable, and going their separate ways. The TV thing is just a face saving excuse for Atlas, and for Povetkin and Sauerland, for that matter. Everyone wants to avoid embarrassment.

Why in the hell is this a title match? I admit I shouldn't keep up on this stuff as much as I should but according to BoxRec this is for the WBA Heavyweight Title. Umm, didn't Wlad just win that from Haye like 3 weeks ago? It'll probably in the end be something that just urks me about boxing in general but someone please fill me in.

    True.

What if Atlas went on a killing spree? :scaredas:

You know that story Teddy loves to tell on ESPN about a teenage Tyson apparently touching his neice in '82, then he pointed a gun at Mike's head & threatened to shoot his brains out if he touched his family again?... Well Rooney, Lott & Tyson say the true story is Teddy was already on his way out of the Cus D'Amato team, & he asked Mike to leave Cus, Rooney, Lott, Jacobs & Cayton, to go with him... Tyson said no way, & the short-fused Atlas was super pissed off. :yep
