    ....

slow start by Theophane in the first 3 rounds, didn't really establish his jab, Cook more the aggressor, by round 4 Theophane started to get more into it, popping the jab and trying to work the body but the shots were straying low sometimes and eventually he had a point taken away (I think it was round 5), by round 7 Theophane had started to become the more dominant fighter and needed to be as the the early rounds were close and could have went either way.

8 and 9 Theophane was hurting Cook especially with the body shots, in round 9 Cook took a straight right and almost went over but regained some composure to see out the round, then early in the 10th a wicked left hook to the centre of body saw Cook down for the count of 9, he got up by the ref waved it off, no point in Cook taking a beating by that point.

props to Al Bernstein also who clearly did his homework on both fighters prior to the commentating on the fight.

    Nigel Wright now Theophane's mandatory.

Credit to Theophane he has really improved and is beginning to make a name for himself.

I thought Wright had moved down to Lightweight, deserves a shot he has some good victories recently, Arthur, Harrison and two undefeated fighters on the spin. By domestic standards that's very respectable form.

Just watched it, good interesting fight.

Cook was always going to be in the fight in the first third with Theophanes slow starts but once he worked him out it was easy going with his accuracy making Cook pay who had faded after his fast start. He looks so much stronger at 140 as well, actually has a bit of power whereas he just looked undersized at 147.

Theophane and Gavin will make for a fascinating technical affair if they fight, would make it about 60-40 in Gavins favour at the moment but I would in no way rule Theophane out. I think Frank should try and get to Wright first and offer him more money to face Gavin first and try and force the Theophane fight.

About to watch Phill Fury v Vaughan, meant to be a great war :good

Pfft Theophane is the number 2a in the division after Bradley, and just before Olusegun. Where has Gavin come into this equation?

Phil Fury vs Vaughan was a *******, seen some excellent all british affairs recently!

Theophane actually has some decent names on his record, Gavin doesn't so Gavin has it all to do, so imo Gavin is perhaps on the middle of the road.
