These figures are excellent for FIVE. CSI is their highest rating show with an average of 3m or less. Most of FIVE'S top ten shows average less than 1.5m.

    :happy

That is a phenomenal figure if true. In fact that would place it as the top watched programmed on 5 for the week based on previous weeks figures. Furthermore this is the biggest figure on 5 since CSI on 31 May 2011.

I would have been happy with over a million, surely Channel 5 will stick with Boxing after that. Admittedly it will be hard for Mick to come up with a more attractive fight then Fury-Chisora in the short term but there are definitely some good fights for him to make with Tyson.

These are excellent numbers for an event on a minority channel with virtully no advertising (I had no idea it was on till somone told me in the Lounge) and a couple of fighters with relatively little name recognition. Bodes well for future fights on the channel as I can imagine 5 are overjoyed with the figures.

Great news. Really good figures, especially considering even a lot of boxing fans didn't know it was on 5 and both fighters are relatively unknown.

Apparently Ch. 5 were looking for around the 1 mill mark, so to peak at almost 3 mill at 2300 should make them well pleased.

Lets hope this is the start of something.

That's superb, I had people texting me who don't usually follow the sport other than Haye PPVs well into the fight.

    Boxing is dead, my arse.

It's just on the wrong channels and lacks exposure.
