Tough fight for Burns but its deffinatley winnable especially if he gets home advantage. Not to sound like Billy Nelson but we have under estimated Ricky before.

Lets also be real. Broner lost to PDL and Litzau was probably the worst ever fighter in the top 10 of a division.

Be nice to see Burns in a real fight again. If he gets it in Scotland will be a big night as Sky will get behind the fight, if its in the US he will get payed very very well and if he wins out there it sets up mega fights with Gamboa, Lopez etc

Burns vs Mitchell doesn't really lose its appeal if Burns lost a fight at Super Feather.

De Leon can punch, which was why Broner was so wary of engaging. Burns cannot punch with real authority, gives up his height and reach advantages and has been facing poor opposition since Martinez (who was nothing special in the first place).

Litzau has always been chinny, but he’s not a terrible fighter. He can box a bit and punch a bit. His losses came to Hernandez (who was losing the fight, IIRC, but stopped Litzau), Guerrero (who’s proven his ability at higher weights) and now Broner. Hardly the worst ever fighter in the top ten of a division, is he?

That’s all irrelevant though. Broner’s got some skills, can punch a bit and has faced better opposition in Ponce and Litzau than Ricky has. Broner poses more risk than Martinez for the simple fact he can counter effectively and he can box enough to find openings on Burns.

Ricky’s going to have to be on very good form to do a good on this one.

Sorry I have to disagree. When I watch Litzau it reminds me off the guys in charity boxing matches. He is trully awful.

I don't think the difference between Martinez and PDL at 130lbs is that much and you have to consider Burns clearly won the fight and Broner clearly did not.
