    How bad is it really?

I mean aside from the first sanders knock down, I don't really remember seeing him be dropped by an actual punch

The second knock down against Sanders he was sort of bumrushed, and was almost bullied to the ground, the same with the Peter Knockdowns (2 of which I'm sure were behind the head)

The Brewster fight was just ****ing wierd, and even then he wasn't laid out with a punch

To me it looks a lot more like a question of mentality than poor chin, he literally seems to not like getting hit and becomes almost scared when facing the possibility of taking a few hard shots

Say he's been knocked down what, 11 times in his career?

1 Corrie sanders kd wasn't from a punch
    2. 2 of the peter knockdowns definitely weren't clean punches, were definitely behind the head, 1 may have been the shoulder, the third one didn't even seem to connect, and Wlad just fell over backwards running away
    Brewster? None from punches

Not saying he has a great chin, because....the evidence says otherwise, but all the times I've seen him be knocked down, only 1 has been from a punch

Not to lend credence to the 'Wlad goes down without getting hit and crawls around'.......but ....yea.

It's odd. I don't think his chin is has bad as is made out...given his size and his brothers chin there's a chance it's actually half decent, he just isn't 'tough'

He's lucky he is so tall, this makes it incredibly hard to hit him flush.

Wlad´s chin is okay and his mentality is very strong. He worked his way back to the top only with Emanuel Steward at his side. Nobody with a weak mentality could have done this.

    Great Champion who deserves respect!

I'm not saying his mentality is poor, he obviously is a very strong willed man, I am saying when faced taking a barrage of punches, he seems to crumble/panic.

Williamson and Pannell definitely knocked him down. There was nothing weird about either of them.

Wladimir also had a horrible habit of squaring up with his hands low when he was being agressive earlier in his career.Suffered a couple flash knockdowns To guys like Williamson but nothing really serious. Sanders just got him on the button with a good punch and Wlad couldnt get his legs back. I think his chin is Ok not granite or anything but its not Glass either.

the downside, is that at least it seems to me, being an unusally tall fighter tends to have a direct correllation with a not so great chin

Emanuel Steward worked on Wlad´s balance. Today Wlad has great balance and is much harder to hit. He is a more complete fighter.

Even today, after almost a decade with Stewie, he still lacks balance. Yeah, he had weaker D earlier in his career, but the guy has a lot a body to protect.

Look at every single one of his "scary" moments and you'll see how horribly offbalance he is, even before the harder shots land on him.

Bul**** today Wlad has great balance.

The Williamson fight was just right after the Brewster fight! So this fight was very difficult for Wlad.
