that,my multi millionare knobhead is the biggest load of shite i have heard. all you are doing is supporting khan,if he was on ITV 2,and we had to pay for it,you would say the same.:deal any chance of paying for my next PPV,im only a northern chav, and can't even begin to be as high and mighty as you, thankyou:thumbsup honestly,i ever met you in a pub,i would chav slap you around the head to wake you up,dick
Exactly - primetime provides a refuge for fights and cards that even Sky don't deem to be PPV worthy.
Khan has a crappy management team behind him, but I honestly can't see what he did wrong with regards to sky. It wasn't right of them to pull PPV A WEEK before the McCloskey fight was due to take place. If sky didn't think the McCloskey fight was PPV worthy they should have made their intentions clear from the start, not at such late notice. If I was Khan or managing him, I'd stick to my guns and tell sky to **** off as well. It's unlikely to happen, but I hope the channel 5/primetime boxing setup is successful and forms a workable mainstream alternative to sky sports. The fury chisora fight was great..I hope they can keep it up. One thing I hope Khan remembers though...not all fights need to be PPV!
ESB Brit forum stalwart Beeston Brawler has informed me to suggest that you take an overdose Ace. :good
To put this in perspective, it might aswell be fans of Scottish curling arguing and discussing over which broadcasting network is going to be given the honour of being allowed to purchase the rights to the world curling championships. Beyond the once per year/or two superfight nobody cares about boxing. Ultimately the only people who lose out in the discussed situation would be boxing fans themselves. In the past wheras SKY's offer for an event that wasn't particularly marketable to the British public such as most US boxing events would just be accepted and available to view on SS. There would now be a station willing to take that event and put it on PPV. It doesn't encourage competition because SKY wouldn't put those events on PPV on their own.
Ace you seem to forget a little sport called "football". Amir Khan to bring down sky:rofl Do me a favour. How can you moan about quality of groves/degale card on ppv but be happy with the last two khan primtime ppv's with their shitty undercards. You also seem to forget sky wanted to air mcloskey fight as a NON ppv, basically showing it to a much larger audience. Why would team khan go back the negotiation table with sky after mcloskey fight if they were so happy being on primetime. As for those who mentioned setanta, they already have a new channel over here, its called premier sport.
Nobody outside the hadcore boxing fans would have a clue who Ortiz or Hatton are, and even if the fight is a classic, nobody in the mainstreem public would have any desire to hear what either is saying on any chatshow, not even skysports news. The only guys that would have any place on the UK chat shows are the superstars, Mayweather, Pac, or Uk stars like Khan, Hatton or Lennox. Joe public has no interest in any of of the others You sound like a total buffoon! TBH.
Who is this primetime mob everyone is talking about in regards to Khan? I was under the impression Khan has signed a career long deal with the guru to show all his fights
