Honestly, I think Toney is too old now and he never looked after himself the way that BHop has. Eating a bad diet, gaining loads of weight etc. If he makes 200lbs I expect him to be very drained.

A great fighter, but ultimately food was his downfall. Like with Riddick Bowe. And Ricky Hatton.

He's cleaned out the division and will drop back to cruiserweight as the recognised and lineal NBA heavyweight champion. There's nothing more for him to do at heavy

I won't believe it unless I see it. He's not been dedicated to training for a very long time and I suspect he'd be using all kinds of diuretics and weight loss pills to pull it off.

Would like to see him in half decent shape again though. Fights with Tarver and especially Hopkins would be 2 fights I would definitely want to see.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I'd call it "half-assed bulemia". He's done so well to get the binging part honed to a fine art, there's just no need for purging.

toney couldn't even beat Danny batchelder convincingly a few years ago on steroids(they both were) why should he be able to compete now... if he makes weight. Toney is old and punch drunk. Someone get him to stop embarresing himself.

I think it is too much to lose. If he can fight there I think both Tarver and Hopkins beat him just because he will be flat at the weight.

James Toney is going nowhere fast these days. Hopkins is like old man river and Tarver looks well suited at cruiserweight. Dream on Toney.

    I don't believe him.

Toney was 257lbs in his last fight.

At his age and the length of time he's been getting heavier and heavier, I don't see it happening. Kudos to him if he can pull it off, but I don't think at this point in his life he has that much dedication or self control.

Is Hopkins old school enough, and hard enough to face James Toney...?
