Carl Froch is the only fighter out there who will literally face anyone.

I dont know about everyone else but im fed up of fighters hand picking opponents just to keep their 0. In a perfect world Tim bradley would have the attitude of Froch and fight Khan, mayweather and pac would get it on.

I think boxers now are more worried about keeping their 0 than fighting the best out there and making themselves the best in their division. In reality being unbeaten is a bonus but being beaten and taken on the best imo is even better. Look at Manny Pac, just because hes lost 3 does that make him less of a fighter .........NO. The same goes with muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Lennox lewis........these hall of famers have all lost however have been recognised as fighting anyone anywhere which should be what boxing is all about.

Get the best in the world in the ring together and give the fans what they want to see. If you dont want to face the best then dont box.

I think he gets enough credit right now... Just compare the threads here from 1½ year ago to the threads here about him now.

Strange style, too much talk after legit loss and unattractive personality usually results in lack of credit where it's due. Froch is better than most would think but the Ward fight will only prove them doubters right.

Froch should get a lot of respect. But I don't think he is under-rated. Most have him 8-12 P4P at the moment and I think that is absolutely fair.

I agree with you though that his crying after the legit loss to Kessler (albeit in a fairly close fight) was a let-down. On the other hand, I think we should look past that because he said it right after the fight... and since then he has acknowledged that he should have worked harder on the night and lost fair and square.

Anyway - the Cobra deserves a lot of credit.. but I also think he gets it.

I think even if he loses to Ward as I think most expect him too, he will still hold respect among the real fans and not just the fair weather kids who hop onto each and every bandwagon as he has had one hell of a run.

I think he gets beaten by Ward, but I won't be shouting "he got exposed" as he's done so much and proven himself beyond doubt.

Froch is a throwback. He's not made one "strategic" career choice and instead goes out there and fights whoever the fans basically tell him to.

I would say the same can be said of Cotto actually, though some may say this has not been the case since the Pacman loss.....

I will say that Froch gets the credit he deserves.. Most people in this community agrees that he is good for boxing..

  13. His last 4 opponentys have been decided for him by the Super Six, so you could argue that everybody else who entered the tournament has showed the same sort of attitude and deserves equal credit.

Also, Froch gets plenty of credit, not just for his run of opponents but for his entertaining fighting style. He gets credit from the entire boxing media, the vast majority of boxing fans, and also his peers. I don't think it's possible to get any more credit.

Froch gets plenty of credit, he's just had less exposure and promotion than he deserved
