Northern Ireland is in the uk politically and economically, but the people there are still irish because they are from the island of ireland. I dont think the people of Northern ireland are British imo. Hence the term the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The difference between England and Ireland is more cultural than genetic, though people from both will want to believe otherwise.

the irish are a race, ireland has been populated or thousands of years. sure they have had immigrants coming in like any country but they have mixed to make irish people.

whats the difference in deciphering there blood line and there nationality. people support fighters from britain because there british, but eqaully ****stanis in ****stan support khan.

you cant say race doesn't matter when it comes to supporting sports stars. it features predominantly. imo theres a more logical reason to follow someone who is the same race as you than someone who lives in the same country.

from what i gather their's a lot more celtic people in ireland than in england because of roman, norman and Scandinavian invasions of england.
