Ken Buchannan V Amir Khan

    At the moment Khan's still lunging with his punches too much to beat Ken. Ken will counter him easily after making ''King'' miss. Ken's a legend, Khan's gotta potential to be a legend.
    Beating Judah in style doesn't mean that Amir can suddenly beat Buchanan. Maybe at 147 Khan will have a chance but, as ScubaSteve said, Ken's upper body movement was unique and I can't imagine Khan dealing with it. McCloskey managed to make Khan look average. Buchanan will not only avoid being hit, he will punish every ****in' mistake.

    Nothing to do with nostalgia or rose tinted specs. Buchanan understood what timing is, and thats something that still eludes young Amir. Timing can beat speed, and in what other area is Khan superior? None.

    Sorry for posting the same **** two times. Buchanan was much better inside, imagine Khan fighting inside against Duran. Buchanan could punch his way out of the clinch.

    Ken was far more intelligent, smarter than anyone Khan has faced to date, Amir would have had kittens against Ken.

    Over 15 and same day weigh in Ken utterly destroys Khan...over 12 and weigh in 36 hours before the fight he wins a wide UD. Ken Buchanan is a country mile ahead of Khan talent wise.

    Watch both Laguna fights, take into consideration the circumstances and conditions and then tell me how Khan wins either fight...no way....Buchanan is the greatest LW this country has ever produced.

    By the way I was actually taking the **** before. I just don't like Buchanan, or many Scots for that matter....

    Apart from Jack, Victor, Tam and Winston of course

    Full credit to Khan how he's turned around his career, but beating up shot fighters like Judah don't mean shite in the grand scheme of things... it really is surprising how much a boxer's status gets elevated by beating a fighter who folk say has been done for years.

    As far as these two goes, it would be a great match up to watch, no doubt.

    Ken Buchanan Would be remembered as one of the ATG lightweight in another era. He was just unfortunate to come along when duran was on the rise

    In what era? Ike Williams'? joe Gans'? Sweet Peas?

    Buchanan is still a great lightweight, losing to a top 10 P4P alltime doesn't change that IMO, especially considering he put up as much a fight as anyone did against 135lb Duran (over the championship distance, first DeJesus fight was a 10 rounder)
