Who has a better left hook: Lacy or Green?

Now green, I think Lacy had the better hook 2 years ago. Lacy has no speed on his punches anymore, the Manfredo fight proved that.

 

Up until '06....Lacy.....now definitely Green

and please don't remind me of the Lacy-Manfredo fight.....I mean i appreciate two professional athletes competent in the beautiful sport of Boxing but i forgot about that SLUG-fest as soon as it was over so all i remember is the Ponce de leon fight and Mayweather-hatton.

 

Time to match Allan Green with Jeff Lacy to see which 1 is finished as a serious threat to any champion at 168.

 

Yeah but Lacy stopped Williams where as Green was taken the distance.

Green probably has a better hook but Lacy throws his with bad intentions more frequently. As Teddy Atlas pointed out Green's temperment is not one to go crazy to stop his opponent.

 

im not a fan of green, but his left hook is the better puch. lacy's left hook, though carrying more power, is wide and and sluggish. he telegraphs it too. greens left hook is more effective since it carries good pop, and he can hook off his jab due to his fast hands.

 

Now? Allan Green

 

Lacy is not a finished fighter he had one fight after a year layoff. Give him a few fights before declaring him done. But i would say Lacy

 

Lacy has a left hook? I thought he just called himself that b/c it sounds good. He had thumping power, but he never threw a crisp left hook like Green. Green is like J Taylor. He has mental stigmas that he cant get over. Its just like that sometimes.

 

Ive followed Lacy from his early days and I never found out why the **** they called him "Left hook", its not even a signature punch of his. IMO his right hook and Left hook are the same, he has no signature punch, his more of an all around puncher.
