    I dont know man..
Almost every coach in every sport has been doing it them self..
I think that the difference between the superstars and those who never really made it to a professionel elite level(the guys who mostly becomes coaches), is that the superstars has already had a long career with the sport, and do not really want to get dragged into the thrills and drama again..
And that is why i believe that not many superstar athletes becomes coaches

I just did a brainstorming about former well-known professional boxers who became a succesfull trainer afterwards. Recently of course Pernell Whitaker.
    Help me out with this!

I imagine that Lennox could be a word class trainer. After his time as a fighter with Steward he should know about the business. I also consider him reasonable enough for that kind of job!

in the uk we have loads that were decent pro's, but not too many world class guys go on to train. it really doesn't matter too much if you were a great fighter in your time, look at freddie roach and enzo calzaghe. you have to have extensive knowledge and love of the sport first, then a natural rapour with your fighters and be willing to bust there ass if there not training hard enough or listening. it takes a certain man to be a leader.

theres one or two that are good in the UK but the one that stands out for me is robert mckracken. carl frochs trainer...... he seems smart and very dedicated. like what he says in the corner, always precise and straight forward advice, and he always seems to be right as well.

thinking about it today and glenn johnson would be a great trainer.... the guy just leads by example with his dedication and willingness to take on the best. his 25 year pro career having fought many many top fighters will surly give him some great knowledge too.
