This is why I say Khan fighting Morales isnt all that bad. Morales went life and death with Maidana. A Maidana who lost a close decision to Khan. Maybe Morales isnt as washed up as people believe?
Greats like Morales can still compete at a high level as long as their is'nt a huge disparity in speed ratio between the fighters. I was one of the few here who had predicted Morales could hang with Maidana because Maidana did'nt have the speed to make Morales look old. Khan is a differnt story, Morales will see the openings, but he'll be to slow to pull the trigger. Khan is just a terrible matchup for Morales. I dont think that fight will ever happen because Morales must know this himself.
He is fighting for the WBC against Barrios so will probably win one more belt. Has anyone seen any Barrios fights lately is he winning or will this be a gimmie for Eric.
By the time of the 3rd Pac fight Erik was a burnt out wreck - too many ring wars in a very busy career , the few years break away from boxing seems to have given his career a renaissance as the maidana fight shows . If he does fight Khan - El Terrible would give it his all as always and if he has to lose he'll go out on his shield - it'll be a much more competitive fight than Judah was.
