can honestly imagine when his next fight comes around more people will be tuning into with the hope he gets beat.

as for Jim Mcdonell - what a tool he is - proof just watch the pre-groves press conferneces on yowtubeeee-shocking

Speaking on his upcoming fight with Piotr Wzizlzcilczzwiekskicizivi: "He's a good opponent and his record proves he's a step up in class from George Groves"

"Everyone keeps telling me I won the Groves fight. But I am over it now"

    Oh James :-(

hate to see a brit fail but he is one i'm not fussed about, arrogant and will not attract a fan base - lost his first real test.

remeber when he turned pro - was licking calzaghe's arse - joe turned round and said his power was average and he would become world class.

Booth - on ringisde ' deluded, southpaw, gold medalist from london' - sound familiar - HA HA

Ringside reshowed him in studio with Groves before they fought.
It was cringeful, he made a total fool of himself.
I had DeGale backed, but lookin back I'm delighted he lost!

To be fair to Degale though he DID win that fight, Groves performance was a sleep inducing shocker. If that fight was in the USA? Degale would have won by UD, cos he was the only one trying to have a fight. Cos Groves had public smpathy behind him, thats why people dont slaughter that performance, & why he got the nod from the judges.

& as you folk round here know? Im neutral on this one, so no fanboyism in this post:bart

somebody needs to beat hiv by knock out or whoop him in a 1 sided affair before he will come back down to earth, even then he may still be delusional

He was arrogant in the build up to the groves fight because there was a history with that as we know. I like him as a boxer as he is skillful, shown that against smith, i thought he press the fight v groves and won more rounds but didnt get the decision.

As regards to his next opponent for the euro belt, how good is this polish guy? He has 29-1 which is an impressive record, but that could be against mostly journeymans. I haven't seen his fights, but to hold the euro title he has to be quite a decent boxer.

I had Groves winning by a round. Very close fight. DeGale looked useless.

Alot of people that know Degale say what a nice bloke he is but I think he showed a real spiteful, nasty side in the Groves build up. True colours? Nothing to do with sympathy either. If Degale is so much better than Groves like he says I didn't see it in their fight.

What can you do against a guy that wont engage? Degale tried to force the action & Groves ran like a chicken & stole the fight.

Its just that everyone bought into the Groves underdog thing SO much, the nation let there hearts rule their heads on this one, including the judges. The David haye effect had its impact too, there was a great comic book story unfolding. Groves is no Rocky Balboa, & Degale will go further than him. IMO.

Groves dictated the pace. He engaged when he wanted to and boxed smart. I'd have more of an issue with DeGale who promised he'd make it look easy and ended up looking like a bufoon.
