I wear contacts but remove them when boxing. From the way you make it sound your eyes are probably a bit worse then mine but, anybody within range to box I have no trouble seeing. Even though I admit it is blurry any incoming punch is very obvious and same with my target.

I might be use to it since I hardly ever wear the contacts I'm suppose to, but I think your eye's can adjust or get use to the difference. Then again, I'm not sure how bad your eyes are...

    This.
I'm quite short sighted and I never have any trouble at all when I take my contacts out for sparring.

I walk around with fairly blurred vision and I fight fine, if you want to quit then quit.

i take my glasses off before i start my rounds in the gym. Wearing contacts is a bad idea, i learned that once and it was all it took to just train blurry.

My own vision is pretty bad (Worse than -5), and I don't spar with contacts, because it is too annoying when they come out. I mean, a boxing glove is pretty damn big so you would have to be literally blind not to see them coming at you.

I've been given the choice between LASIK and PRK surgery and pretty much told that PRK is my better option since it doesn't leave scar tissue on the lens. You don't get worried about your lenses getting ****ed up?

I just spar with my contacts in. They usually get knocked out every time, but I usually have no trouble stopping, finding it quickly, and finishing the next several rounds with them out. I have HORRIBLE eyesight by the way. My eyesight and the frustration of contacts doesn't stop my love for boxing. I can't imagine this being the reason to quit.

Hes quitting because he wants to quit. If he really wanted it he'd find a way like all the others here that have **** eye sight. Im out of boxing at the moment trying to fix my shoulder and im desperate to get back. Its not going to stop me but i wear contacts pretty much all day every day and my eyesight has gone worse since i first started boxing. And when my contacts come out i do think god i cant see ****. But id manage!!! Like someone said hit the one in the middle!

The only other idea iv had is to have a supply of cheap daily contacts ( im on monthlys so loosing one is a big deal) then if they pop out i really wouldnt care and wouldnt have to stop to try and find them.

My vision is but a 3rd of whats necessary in order to drive over here in the UK and i dont need to wear contacts when i spar.

My left cornea is scarred to the point where its visible without the aid of a microscope and so im plagued by severe lesions of the cornea that can take weeks to heal properly whenever i take heavy/awkward shots to the left eye, sounds like your either looking for excuses or you are literally almost blind, if you love boxing you wouldnt even be asking this question, certainly wouldnt be asking it on a forums.
