Haha dry your eyes you daft ****er I didnt mean to upset you :blurp Bully mode? I genuinely can't understand people who feel they are/or somebody else is being bullied/being a bully on the Internet? Handle :huh:smooch I stand by my original point though, and this is MY perspective nobody else's.......... I personally can't see how somebody you've never seen live (not necessarily in person moreso 'live' as in watching events unfold live) could be someone's favourite fighter or one of. I can understand how they could 'inspire' you but if you're not caught up in the moment watching a said boxer I don't see how somebody could put them above fighters or your generation? Fighters you've actually paid to watch be it live, on the box office or on a stream? Each to their own I suppose.
Sugar Ray Robinson Pernell Whitaker Erik Morales Lennox Lewis Mike McCallum Floyd Mayweather Roberto Duran Ray Leonard Ivan Calderon Joe Louis In no order.
Mike Tyson Muhammad Ali Sonny Liston Floyd Mayweather Roy Jones Jnr Juan Manuel Marquez Scott Harrison Bernard Hopkins Marvin Hagler Thomas Hearns I wanted to find space for Mayorga and Frank Bruno too. edit, and Chavez too
I must admit I do agree with this somewhat as sometimes I think people are having some sort of competition on this forum to see who can pick out the most obscure fighter (Not saying GazOC is doing that). I'm sure thats how some posters aswell measure how big a boxing fan someone is by who can remember fighters no-one else can!!
Yep. Exactly how I see it pal. Like Fleaman for instance. Now I have a lot of time for that ****er (no homo) but his post on here seems (IN MY OPINION) to be crying out for a reply along the lines of 'Great list you know loads about boxing'. And to be fair Jeffro popped up and swallowed the bait
My list anyway (I have only been a big Boxing fan the last 10 or so years): In no order really: Ricky Hatton Naseem Hamed Mike Tyson Erik Morales Alex Arthur David Haye Amir Khan Michael Gomez Joe Calzaghe Bernard Hopkins
Good list I was going to put the likes of Farnell, Gomez, Hatton in etc etc but that was more to do with the fact that I used to enjoy going to their earlier shows with groups of lads as they all lived local to me but I didn't have room.
Boy, that sweltering July 4th 1919, when the mighty Dempsey dethroned Willard is a day I'll never forget. Still got the ticket stub framed above my crapper.
