It'll probably either be GSP (who got creamed twice in his prime) or Anderson (whose best wins aren't a patch on Fedor's over Big Nog and Crocop). I think GSP and Anderson are both incredible fighters, both top 4 of all-time, but Fedor is the number 1 of all-time. Even though I prefer Nog's resume to Fedor's, Fedor's h2h superiority, his unparalleled unbeaten run, and the range of finishes he produced against good comp make him the true top dog.
There really isn't a fighter that can compete with Fedor for the GOAT category. Even if you're a hater and say that he only fought cans for the past 10 years, the fact of the matter is that, in this sport, staying undefeated for that long (regardless of the level of competition) is an amazing feat. Hell, Frank Mir, JDS, etc, all fought cans in the earlier parts of their career and still came out with a couple of losses. Going undefeated for that long is nothing to scoff at.
fedor is the best ever there is no doubt. no discussion, its a fact. but this business of explaining away his losses as age or "wear and tear" related is nonsense. his speed and striking is as lethal as ever and his reflexes are still there. the only thing fedor has lost is desire and he lost it some time ago. unfortunatley his level of competition over the last few years has masked this fact and his deluded nutswingers are absolutely blind to it.
He is the GOAT, and we wont see another HW quite as dynamic that's for sure But it's clear his heart is not in it anymore, and he needs to retire, he has nothing left to prove. Dominating his era is enough of a legacy imo
I think everyone needs to realze all the pride fighters other than rampage and silva where way overated. nog and cro cop have done nothing here and well fedor just got koed by a middle weight thats got nothing to do with having his heart in it thats extremelly overated is all that is.
