If Calzaghe wins, it's because Hopkins is senile and forgets how to fight, or has Congestive Heart failure due to his advanced age.

Otherwise, the BETTER, SMARTER, and more RESOURCEFUL fighter will prevail.

    Hopkins UD

Yes I agree. Unless Hopkins lands about 3-7 clear powerpunches per round which snap calzaghes head back. That way he can win/steal rounds and might pull of out win. Otherwise I don't see it happening. But Hopkins is a sharp puncher so he might be capable of actually doing this.

I'll go with Joe because he is fast, he can take a punch and does have very fast hands, b-hop is not a walk in the park either and is very intelligent on the ring, i'll say that it will be a SD for Calzaghe.

People are looking past the fact the JOE CALZAGHE himself is in decine. The Kessler fight showed that clearly to anyone who has followed his career.

It's fair to say that Hopkins will just be the Hopkins of the last few fights.

Personally, I still pick Joe but it will be tough and gritty.

It will all depend if Hopkins can drag Calzaghe into fighting his style. He did it against DLH, Taylor, Tarver and Wright. If he can do that. He will be more competitive then people think. He is also much quicker then most people give him credit for even at over 40 years old.

I think he will give Calzaghe a good fight. He will frustrate him. He will slow him down. He will win more rounds then Kessler.

    But he will probably lose.

Calzaghe by UD. He will make BHOP work.

Hopefully when this is over the Hopkins fans will flee the board just as many Kesslerites have

Calzaghe and easily...easily...in his prime Hopkins might have taken four rounds but now? his only hope is JC fights down to the level of the competition as he has many times before...then the old **** might take a round or two

I can just picture Joe C trying to rush in and throw his punches and Hopkins catching him time and time again with a perfectly timed counter right hand. And as the fight goes on, i can see Joe C becoming less aggressive with his output because he keeps getting hit with clean right hands.

Hopkins was told in an interview about Joe C's workrate and how he would deal with it and he said that it's simple. Hit the guy and you will decrease his output. And i see that happening.

Two years ago I would have confidently picked B-Hop to win, now I'm not so sure. He looked really slow in his last fight with Winky and at forty three years of age I don't know how much gas he's got left in the tank.

I agree that Joe will be the more aggressive and stronger fighter due to his advantage in age, speed and reflexes but being SMART in the ring is what Hop is a guru at.

I expect to see Hop switching up his game a few times within the fight. I think he'll be very rough and throw in a few vetern fouls then maintain distance and space to gain range for his own offense.

Of course I don't think that will be enough to beat Joe but I can't count Bhop out. But if I had to bet I'd go with Joe by UD in a competitive fight.....if this fight had taken place 5 years ago or more I'd go with Bhop without any doubt.
