If Murray comes at Frankie Gavin the way he fought Kevin Mitchell then Frankie Gavin will box the ears off him...:deal

Yeah, I'd like to see it. First though, Gavin has to get his act together or he may be the biggest waste of talent there has been in years. He'll need to have to decide what weight he is... and then obviously Murray would have to move up in weight aswell, but if that did happen it would be a quality fight of course.

Lets say by this time next year.

I get the feeling Murray will move up to 140lbs. You would expect him to go for the European title. You would expect Gavin to be at that level by this time next year.

Do you think Fwank will feed Murray to Gavin? Gavin obviously has a lot more potential, still has his 0 and Murray doesn't shift a load of tickets...

Well Allegedly has to do something with Murray and I assume he will be looking to get him in back at Euro level after a warm up. Gavin, I like the lad but he needs to show something in his next fight or two though :deal

Agreed Gavin can have no more excuses we all need to see development and more importantly better displays then of late. Although some said the Woodhouse fight wasn't as close as judges and many had it. Yet to see it but can't comment but does seem to have split people's judgement.

Yet to see it myself so can't judge. Regardless though when the fight was made it was an appalling mismatch but it ended up an SD. Its still some way off of he could beat x y z tomorrow like some are claiming. I do wonder though if a big fight is what is needed to give him a kick up the backside to be really hungry for it in a sink or swim fashion. I don't think that the flip flopping between which weight he will be campaigning at has helped nor the fact that Theophane is a stubborn ******* but potentially his last few performances if he is nor really committed could be a blessing in disguise a few people that didn't fancy it before might consider it now.

I'm in no hurry to see this, I don't particularly like the thought of it stylistically and I'm not sure it really makes any sense for either man.

I believe this would be to big a step for Gavin just now maybe 5 more fights with tough pro Journey men who can stand with Gavin as at the moment Murray will walk threw his jab and will be to strong over the longer distant of twelve rounds . he did give Mitchel some trouble early

Give Gavin his next fight which is supposedly an eliminator for British at 140 then hopefully get him a shot at the Brit after that. Maybe 3 fights time yeah but Gavin genuinely would outbid the ears off Murray.

Anyway Murray has no need to move to 140. He makes 135 easily enough. **** he made it for the Mitchell fight despite being on the **** in Germany for Macklin/Sturm 3 weeks prior to his fight. He's strong at 135 and can press his style better at the weight. He wasn't fit for the Mitchell fight IMO (not saying it would have changed the outcome as I was impressed with Mitchell for the first time) and his 'blocking punches with his face' defence won't help him any more at 140.

The way Frankie is lookin this would be an awful fight for him , he looks terrible , he doesnt look like he's got the physical ability to stop Murray coming on , or the pop to get his attention , right now at least .
