Hahahahahaha. Kessler hasn't proven ****, except that he hits pretty hard, and is very limited in overall skill.

If you think beating Kessler is better than Hopkins jumping 15 pounds to win the REAL light heavyweight title, you need to be committed.

    Make a poll

Which was the more impressive win. I think you'd be suprised, and at the very least I'd say it would be close and that's being generous...

Of course Kessler is a great fighter, he must be because Joe struggled with him, therefore he's P4P number 2 in the world :nut

    Joe didn't struggle with him

It was a clear but competetive win

He did himself credit against the p4p king

Mate, you are normally a very reaosnable poster who has a lot of knowledge but you are completely biased when it comes to Joe. I like the guy & was chuffed for him when he beat Kessler but he shouldn't have only been collecting those belts this past year & you know that.

I really dont think even you believe in Joes resume as much as you say you do as you seem to spend more time knocking other peoples records as opposed to letting Joe's speak for itself. Hopkins & Jones did more to maximise their careers than Joe & thats why they get more respect than him.

A poll of who? A bunch of biased nuthuggers like you???

TARVER WAS THE REAL, RECOGNIZED CHAMPION of a division 15 lbs. above the weight that Hopkins fought all his (except the first of his career) fights...I don't think Tarver is so great, but he was the champion at that time.

Calzaghe never looked for a fight like that. He never left his comfort zone of fighting WBO mandatory bums in the UK.

Right you've lost me with that comment I'm afraid mate. I'm sure you wont care & will probably toss some abuse my way but no way are the two achievements comparable.

If he'd done it 2000-2001 I certainly wouldn't give him as much stick as I do.

I'm having fun here, stop getting all school teacher on me ;)

P.S. I'd actually rather not knock peoples resumes, but I'm simply making the point it is easily done for nearly any fighter

I AGREE COMPLETELY. I like Calzaghe a lot as a person and a fighter. But, he spent his time fighting for EASY MONEY and TITLE DEFENSE RECORDS, not GLORY, RESPECT, and TO BE THE BEST. That was his choice, but now he must live with it.

    Like I said, let's have a poll

I'll do it when this place is a bit more lively, seems dead at the moment

Antonio Tarver is a poor fighter, end of story

That's hardly fair, Joe has actually travelled abroad to fight twice. Once against Will McIntyre on the undercard of the Tyson/Neilsen fight and once to fight Veit in Germany - a man he'd already knocked out in one round :rofl :rofl :rofl

It's one of boxings pure comedy moments for me, after beating McIntyre in Denmark Calzaghe claimed in his post fight interview that Jones and Hopkins were scared to fight him
