    IMO -
Pavlik would have been a great target for Bute, or Abraham, on his way back down...

I was actually surprised to see Pavlik listed to fight Bute... think the Pavlik team realized this was a bad career decision. He needs to get some wins in before being considered a legitimate SMW contender. Kinda surprised on the pull-out though....

It wouldn't have proven much, but sadly it would have been the best win of Bute's career.

Would have proved ZERO (well... quite little at least considering that Pavlik's SMW resume is VERY thin.. and his recent problems).

Let Pavlik beat at least ONE of the following gatekeepers first before Pavlik enters the top 10-15 in the division:

For example Andrade, Johnson, Dirrell, Sartison, Bika.

I'm not hating on Kelly and I hope he can do it, but until he does - a win over Pavlik means nothing.

Yes, to fight on his home turf. He also made sure to bring his personal referee Uncle Marlon Wright with him, just in case he got KTFO'd again and needed to be saved. I wonder how many other Canadian "Butards" made that trip.

At least he was a gatekeeper. Today he is more of an injury-prone, mentally weak clubfighter.
