I've said what i've needed to be said here. Brendan Ingle was a one demensional, ******ed ****witt of a trainers in the history of British boxing. "When it came to boxing technically"

I give him all the praise in the world for being a great head coach. But like i have stated just before, to have success with Brendan Ingle, you had to fit a certain description. You had to be immensely gifted physically, co-ordination and physical skills, athletism. If you did'nt fit this description, you where going nowhere great, because the style he taught was so ******ed...........

**** I'm lost for words, it was...what it was.

And this is a fact which history shows. Brendan Ingle just went along with what the fighters wanted to do at times, they where aloud to ether kind of put there own spin on things or fully embraced whatever Ingle thought was great technically.

Junior Witter is a complete mess now, he's not in bad shape and is not shot physically. But he's slowed just by that small fraction, and because technically he's on another planet, and has not got a clue. And because he has been aloud and taught bad things inside of Brendan Ingle's boxing gym, which have been ingrained within him.

He is totally ****ed, and looks like a ****ing complete ******.

Bernard Hopkins has slowed down, and is not the athlete he used to be 10 years ago. Antonio Tarver, Evander Holyfield. And still no fighters have made these fighters look like complete and utter ******s..? why..? simple things, are never made to look hard by these guys. And some of them are closer to 50 years of age.

Because technically they have been taught, tried and tested skills. That will stand the test of time. Bernard Hopkins said it how it is....

"Everytime Bernard Hopkins crosses the road he looks left and right, because thats what he was taught, "Technical basics". Brendan Ingle's fighters where not taught to look left and right, they where taught to be cocky and just run across the road fast. Thats all good and well, when you are young and fast, and got you're reflexes. But when you get older and you slow down that little bit..? Cars will start knocking you over"

Thats what's happening to Junior Witter now.

Junior Witter was falling out of the ring "During Prizefighter", he was so ******ed.......he could'nt even throw straight punches, he was so wide "With his punches", i thought he was drunk and on ACID.

    And dancing to YMCA.

Brendan Ingle is not the brest british boxing training of all-time. He's phylosiphy was badly flawed, whats he doing now..? **** all because he's ****.

I've said all what has needed to be said here, this thread is going nowhere unless i want it to go somewhere.

    Later bell-ends.

Brian Anderson, Herol Graham, Slugger OTool, Johnny Nelson, Ryan Rhodes, Nasseem Hammed, Junior Whitter, Kell Brook, Paul Silky Jones...... all of whom where schooled under Brendan Ingle & achieved British, Commonwealth, European or World honors...... As well as area titles from many other fighters under his tutoring...... lets not forget about those whom he has kept out of prison by giving them direction in life & did nothing in boxing but he still gave his time & patients equally...... Do your research people........... If it was easy, everyone would be doing it... So lucky, i think not..... Cus D'Amato did the same thing with the same attitude with his fighters........... Give credit where its due....

The most accurate thing you said there was "I'm lost for words", which is your only comment that I agree with as you quite clearly haven't a clue what your talking about.

You've managed to disregard the 40 year career of the most succesful British based trainer of all time and the only actual example or reference you've provided is the latter stage of Junior Witter's career. Hardly what you'd call a comprehensive review. :yep

I'd suggest you do some research into the 3 world champions, six european champions, 15 british and 6 commonwealth champions that Brendan has trained from scratch

A lot of the Ingle style is smoke and mirrors a bit though to be fair. I mean, you can't teach every single fighter that comes to you the exact same style. It's a style that lacks the majority of all the fundamentals required in boxing, that relies on having great reflexes, which obviously not everyone can possess. You might have success with some, but you can bet they've had an awful lot of failures down the years with the somewhat one-dimensional style of training.

Not knocking them, but to say ''best British based ever'' is a bit, meh.

One thing i have found on these sites is that many instigators of this sort of thread have some real underlining personal issues with everyone who has had any real success in what people have achieved... This is mainly because they will never understand how its done..... So prima dounut, you jumped on this band wagon, its not your fault you was easily led by tigerbread who clearly judged Brendan ingle on a hunch as he couldnt know him personally. Prima dounut you'll just never get it even though you'd want us to believe you do but you do have sharp wit & drinking tooooooo much haterate as it seems to be ooozzzzzing out of you..... YOU HAVE NO IDEA, never have never will...... you have really let yourself down..... Think i'll move to sheffield the city of luck...hahahahahahahahah, in a court of law that line will win you every case. You're the man![/quote]

Ah yeah, I'm sure there's certain aspects of his training that are open to debate but some of the comments on here are just ridicolous

I agree with Primadonna re the training and with every single word about Junior Witter, although I don't know Ingle as a man so don't agree with the personal insults

    I absolutely detest the style

There's two reasons why this thread is only 2 pages..? Because Brendan Ingle is not the best british trainner of all-time. And because this thread is only going somewhere if i want it to, its now about what i say....and people are responding to that.

Brendan Ingle was a one demensional boxing trainner, who relied on his boxers having lightening light reflexes and they had to be athletically gifted. If they did'nt fit this description, they where going nowhere. Carl Froch, Henry Cooper, Ricky Hatton would of all been ruined for life if they embraced the Ingle style of fighthing. Brendan Ingle was a great head coach, and installed great confidants within his fighters.

    But technically..? No.

His fighters did what they wanted to do inside of the ring, some people say Roy Jones and Muhammad Ali where not text book fighters. They were'nt but the difference was, they can actually box aswell and grasp simply things like straight punches, hiugh guards, and correct footwork and balance.

Junior Witter is a perfect example, of whats wrong with Brendan Ingle's style. Junior Witter is a fit guy, and is not shot physically. But now he will probably strugle to have a decent win at domostic level, why..? Because he's slowed down, just by that fraction.

And his technical foundations are not there. He fights and looks like a complete and utter ****** inside of the ring, his punches are too wide, he seems to struggle to throw straight punches, he falls over his feet.

These are simple things in life, that **** people can do. Boxing up and down the country is full of average people, who are not really gifted athlete's. Thats whats great about boxing, give's untalented people athletically, co-ordinaton, motor-skill wise a chance. These **** people, can do these simple things, but Junior Witter cannot.....?

He cannot grasp the concept of them. Why..? Because Brendan Ingle does not have a ****ing clue, and is not a technically gifted boxing coach. Infact you don't even have to be technically gifted these are simple things to learn and ingrain in a fighter.

Whats he on about in this video..? Style to beat Mayweather..?

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX5JWdZsRaU[/ame]

What the **** is he doing in this video..? On the pads.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AcxjkxWpSM[/ame]

I have all the respect in the world, for what Brendan Ingle has done with fighters, from a mental point of view. But technically..? I don't think he's a great coach.

He simply just got lucky in my opinion, with some really raw and talented fighters.

Brendan Ingle was a bell-end towards Chris Eubank. A complete ****.....

he's obviously got a field of 4 leaved clovers plus the whole stock of the luck of the Irish to have produced that list.:D:lol:
just a shame that he's evidently completely useless as a boxing coach......:good

Hopkins is a better athlete than he was 10 years ago and is an immensley gifted fighter himself, his skill is somewhat overstated, he has no shame and is willing to be more boring than any other fighter, don't mistake this for technique.

Now he has stopped draining down to 160 and is on PEDs he is actually a slightly better athlete than 10 years ago.

The oldest physical peak of any boxer ever thanks to PEDs.

Hopkins is the American Johnny Nelson.
