    this pretty much highlights the problem? after chisora who is there? john mcdermott and sam sexton, then who? if you include ireland you get rogie in the mix but its still a short list

    Like we say, Domestically its quite alright to see, but on the World Scene we got nothing.

    How close it Fury to Haye based on their last fights?

    What about Price v Chisora?

    Sprott probably deserves no 5 if he looks good against Dimitrenko and would go to 2 or 3 if he pulls it off.

    Yes, Fury beat Chisora but It's just not enough for Haye to be looking over his shoulder, he didn't perform against Wlad but Haye is still in a different league to anyone British. That said, I expect David Price to make big strides in the year ahead.

    Exactly the same as most other weights. We have 4 or 5 at each weight then a bunch of ok journeymen or very untested and not over promising prospects.

    There's Tom Dallas. He's got to come back strong, but he can still be a decent domestic heavyweight. If you include Ireland then Mike Perez too.

    it'll take a while for fury to get to hayes level, needs to work on his punching technique and gain a decent defnce, i think price could do it quicker hes got the technique and power, sprott is still in the mix but its too much now for him to be catchin haye up

    To the earlier poster that mentioned Mike Perez as being Irish, isn't he Cuban but just based there?
    Anyway, to the list...

    1. Haye
    2. Fury
    3. Sprott
    4. Chisora
    5. McDermott / Price

    Haye is obviously well clear at the top of the pile, Fury's a cert for the runner-up spot given his showing against Chisora and potential for development. I put Sprott at three, he won the Prizefighter trinket recently of course and i think he deserves to be placed ahead of Chisora who I've never really rated and who now has a massive question mark hanging over him. It's a bit of a cop out but i can't really split McDermott and Price for the fifth spot, Price deserves it for potential but hasn't really beaten anyone (Tom Dallas doesn't count) and McDermott came back strongly from four straight losses (all title fights and at least two of them questionable defeats) to spark out Olubamiwo and get himself right back in the domestic mix...

    The domestic HW scene is doing very nicely, lots of interesting fights to be made over the next year

    I'm looking forward to seeing Towers fight again soon.

    Price could go on and do something in a couple of years, I think he'll do well at Euro level in time and then if managed/coached correctly he could possibly be in the mix at world level.

    The best Fury can hope for is a payday against a Klit and continue on at domestic level. Del Boy is in the same boat.
