Even if Floyd fights Pac in 2012, will history forget Floyd's 3 years of duckage?

true. roger and sr thinks highly of cotto that after they saw what pac did to him, they could not think of anything else but this is not natural for a midget asian to do this.

younger only in actual age but in terms of ring age, pacquiao is actually much older than floyd and has more wear and tear inside the ring.

Always nice to see fresh new threads in the general forum, such as SILENCER whining about Hopkins and Calzaghe's reputations, Popkins whining about Floyd, and Jack whining about Wlad. I think that just means we're due for a glass jaw thread to meet our goal for the day. Keep up the good work everyone!

he is not even signed for the jmm fight.

meanwhile floyd is on a GBP-only opposition since 2006.

Im mostly upset with floyd going on vacation after fighting mosley, hima sking for bloodtest made me think why do you have to be so difficult to negotiate with... just make the fight! but I dont have a problem with it now. He should have fought pac right after mosley, so late 2010 when toprank had that clock running with waiting for floyd and he decided to leave only to come back after pacquiao looks bad vs mosley then waiting for him to have the marquez fight lined up to announce his comeback vs a southpaw in Ortiz.
There were rumours about that around the mosley fight so he never intended to jump straight into the pacquiao fight.
I still want the fight to happen though, boxing deserves it.

Floyd will go down as one of the greatest lightweights/Welterweights of all time.

As a lightweight hes not even top 20 and considering that he most likely wont ever return to that weight theres no way hes going down as one of the greatest lightweights of all time.

And at welter he still has a long long way to go to be considered one of greatest at that weight.

Didnt pac sign to fight JMM before the Mosley fight?

Didnt Mayweather school Mosley before pac fought him?

Cotto fight on the back of his defeat to Marg?

sparring with Clottey for 12 rounds?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man *******s cant see facts just pure love for one fighter, not the sport.

The way the fight plays out will determine how both are looked at in history. If Floyd schools Pac (I expect him to) people will say 'as if he was scared, Pac should have taken the test etc etc'

if Floyd loses, he was scared and tried to duck him but still couldn't avoid it

I blame Pacquiao for the fight falling apart the first time around, before Pacquiao fought Clottey.

The Drug Testing was an issue what could of been resolved, but Pacquiao ran off and fought Clottey.

I blame Floyd for it falling apart the second time.

I think the whole Top Rank countdown, the "did negotiations happen or not" thing is bull****, but Floyd should of come out and said his piece and he didn't, and for that he's to blame for the fight falling apart the second time.

    Third time lucky...

I think it depends on what happens. If Manny looks great against Marquez and Floyd beats his AZZ, then it might be forgiven. However, I really think Floyd needs 2-3 more marquee fights to shake his "weak" resume. If Manny knocks him out or if Ortiz beats him, then no it will never be forgotten. Floyd really has everything to lose.

I like the way everybody ignores this - the one factual post in this stupid thread.
