    He ruined Paul Williams's career, beat up the liquor-soaked Pavlik, owned Cintron, and TKO'd a tough European in Dzinzurik. Martinez has looked impressive enough to be where he is now. And if you're complaining about his resume, how is it his fault that no one wants to fight him?

    Maybe he'll get Margarito if he beats Cotto and get a decent payday and some PPV exposure.

    I actually have Martinez currently at 5 , below ;

    Pacquaio
    Mayweather
    Doniare
    Marquez

    In that order , immediatley after his brutal KO of Paul Williams IMO he was rightly ranked @3 , he was already an entry post Pavlik , since then he's KO'd the capable Dzinziruk in devestating and impressive fashion , there is arguments for Sergio to be ranked @#2 , bearing in mind Floyd's in activity , it cannot be argued by anybody that this man isnt a terrific stand out fighter , and rightfully holds a place in the top 5 P4P in the world IMO .

    Im not questioning his skills or his talent. I think he is a very good fighter. I just don't rate his wins like others. Kermit Cintron really never was that good. PWII has one impressive "win" against Magharito.

    That being said I think he looked impressive beating both Williams, Pavlik and Dzinziruk.

    Cintron, Williams and Pavlik have not done fanstastic/ wonderful things in boxing since their losses to Martinez.

    Cintron is known to cry and jump out the ring.
    Williams needs the judges to win.
    Pavlik. talking about this kid makes me bored, he is asking for 3 mil per fight? This is insane, kid is boring.

    He had beaten 45 bums and avenged his loss vs Williams! He would be #1 after he avenged his defeat to Margarito!:lol:

    Get real man Martinez is a beast. You mention Ward, yet his resume is nowhere near as good as Martinez's right now. I could see Hopkins being ahead of Martinez, but not Ward (yet).

    Whoever compare Ward to Martinez, must be drunk / high. Ward doesn't come nowhere close to Martinez right now.
