No, it doesn't. Especially when Lewis won the last 2 rounds before the stoppage and was busting Vitali's face up.

Vitali had his chance the first time around and lost, get over it. Lewis was close to retirement anyway.

And I fail to see why Vitali is better than Wlad, apart from in hypothetical H2H match ups, which are purely speculation anyway.

I'm a fan of both. I first saw Lewis fight against Butler and was impressed how he came through a tough test against Mercer. His domination of Golota, who I also liked at the time, made me a hardcore fan.

I was first enamoured by Vitali after witnessing his destruction of Hide. He seemed to be a real life Ivan Drago and looked like he could go on to be an absolute monster in the heavyweight division. His performance against Lewis impressed me greatly few fighters face an all time great even a old one and do what he did.

I will not allow the haters and nuthuggers from either camps to tarnish my opinion of either fighter. I can appreciate both and will not be drawn into the hate.

I'm a bigger fan of Lewis and Lewis is clearly far greater but I'm a Vitali fan too, love the big ukrainian terminator. Vitali is a bad ass, baddest man on the planet right now, how can you not love him? I don't think there's a man on earth that would last in a street fight with Vitali.....in fact he's probably one of the baddest men to ever lace up the gloves in the sense that in a street fight there might be only a couple people ever that would stand a chance against him.

no he doesnt, lewis wanted to fight tyson again or rjj, after kirk johnson.

Steward: "He [Lennox] told me that Vitali hurt him in that fight pretty bad and that he didn't want to have to face him again. I told him that if he wanted to continue fighting at all, that he would have to give Vitali a rematch. He chose to retire."

Wlad "Vitali is better than me, was born to be a fighter"
wlad was 50 times on the floor and was koed 3 times. vitali after 4 years retirement stops peter earlier, than wlad. cmon vitali would whoop wlads ass, if they fight!

This is exactly how i feel, its not as if you can hold a serious debate with them at all, its a shame that they are ensuring that Vitali is mainly going to be remembered for losing a fight rather than the decent career he has carved out for himself.:good

    :!:
At 38 years old, even without Vitali, he would have retired in about another year anyway. Lewis was in lacklustre shape for his fight with Klitschko, and you could tell his heart just wasn't in it anymore. A hard fight would have pushed him into retirement anyway, regardless of who it was.

And of course Wlad is going to say that, Vitali says the exact same thing when asked about Wlad. They're ****ing brothers.

lewis wnated one or two big money fights, and the rematch would be his best payday in his carrier!

vitali never said, that wlad is a born fighter!;)

highly unlikely, only by Vitali fans who hold onto the false glory that Vitali was up by *GASP* 2 points by the time the stoppage came around with 6 rounds to go. Hardly enough evidence to claim that Vitali would be ahead at the end of 12 rounds with or without a cut that resembled a throbbing Vagina.

lewis was gassed after the 6. never he could go the distance. IMO vitali would tko him, like he alleways do in the later rounds, even with one eye! lewis won the fight luckily, the rematch would give us certainty. both with a normal preperation, no cuts. who is better? also it would give lewis a monster paychek. but its ok he retires. its history!
