EVERYBODY remembers Michael Watson (albeit somewhat tragically). Unless you're very young. He's a household name.

I think it will be Steve Redgrave but the torch should be passed to him by any British Olympic Gold Medal winners that are still alive...:yep

Michael Watson's Book is awesome but sadly lacking with any acknowledgements to Steve Bunce...:-(

Michael Watson is a great bloke, a true inspiration and would be an excellent choice to represent boxing on the final relay, but bar Michael what other boxer would you like to see taking part in the torch relay?

Watson should rightly be in the lap of honour of relay runners pre lighting, but Redgrave should light the flame IMO. But I have a sneaky feeling Ennis is going to the job...

    Calling Ali...

We liked him more in this country than his native States ever did anyway, I always consider Ali an honorary Brit, and he too should be in the finale in some way or another, even of it is in Audio/film rather than actually physically being there...

Ridiculous idea. Obviously they should have some legendary british gold medal winner of the past. Yes, a winner.

Peer pressure dictates that, but last time in London, it was a 'nobody'; so why not think out the box again?
