My comment was made as a joke. I realise that Khan isnt as good as Oscar and never will be as good. In terms of popularity he could reach Manny status. I.E. a big draw but not that big because hes not american.
He will never have the mass support because he is muslim and * * * * stani first british somewhere else down the list depending on which media he's talking to.
Does Doc annoy Doc? http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329232&page=2 Re: Who will be the next JMM / BARRERA / MORALES? atsch
in that case roy jones got "exposed" by his ko. manny pacquiao got "exposed" by his ko's too. sergio martinez (hero in ur avatar) got exposed by his 1st ko loss. Using your logic...The list go's on....(i aint got time to make long list) Only difference is Prince Naseem NEVER came back to redeem himself. 50 million in the bank...make's ya soft u know
Good point with the exception that RJJ was exposed; he routinely avoided power punchers in his carreer. Also, Hamed is probably the worst example you could use. That exposure was flat out indecent.
I like Amir and would like to see him become the next "Golden Boy", minus all the mistakes Oscar made along the way. Amir has a more stable head on his shoulders and the bigger he gets the more of a symbol of peace, respect, and understanding he can be for people of different religions and ethnicity. I wish him great success.
I dont know if he'll be a bigger atttraction in boxing in america like Dela Hoya but hes already a better fighter and will be higher ranked then DLH when all said and done
Roy Jones had already outclassed HoF boxers like Toney, Hopkins, and McCallum before being knocked out. Manny and Sergio were nowhere near as hyped as Khan before he got sparked the **** out.
sad to say. i had to check out of my own curiosity if the post was a compliment instead of insult for i do not think very highly of dlh. i would think comparing amir to oscar is insulting to amir. and i am not a khan nuthugger either.
