I hope Mike Tyson stays as far away from a boxing ring as he can and just enjoys his "Days of Grace" for the rest of his life, and dies fat, Happy, and in the arms of a beautiful woman who loves him. He needs to fight like I need to shoot heroin.
It's NOT easy money. Not at all. Getting in shape isn't easy. And at this stage, beating bums wouldn't be easy. Mike already has to get up in the morning knowing that Kevin McBride, one of the least talented fighters to ever appear on television, knocked him out. McBride is on the level of a Peter McNeeley...what a shame for Mike to have that on his record. Losing to Julius Long would be even worse.
Hold onto yer hats fellas, he may just come back. He has PLENTY of time to do it too, take a look at next months heavyweight headliner. McCall vs. Smokin Bert Cooper. Battle of the guts. ****, maybe he can fight Rahman finally - some unfinished biz there. I wanna see Tyson take on some clowns but he sure had some tough times beating some clowns in his ending days. McBride?! WTF was that...he needs to stay away from fat Irishmen unless his name is Peter McKneely. Hey I wonder if Snubby is still around?????!?
Are you serious? Did you not see him in the last few fights against b level fighters!! I am a big Tyson fan but he should definitely never get into a boxing ring as a fighter again.
Foreman was a giant, 260lbs and 6'4. He was a super heavyweight who could club you into submission. He didn't have to work as hard as Tyson did in the ring. Tyson even in his prime was a short, fast HW who relied on quickness of foot, constant movement and lightning fast combinations - something he hasn't demonstrated since 1988. Why would be make a successful comeback 21 years after his ultimate peak in an era of giants?
