He should fight Demetrius Hopkins or M'Baye in the NON-TELEVISED UNDERCARD of any american show or take a risk and fight Ngoudjo... in a non-televised undercard. :happy Seriously, there's a good chance for Witter to win a title unification fight against either Ricardo Torres on a mayor American network... or against Malignaggi or Rees in a non-televised undercard! atsch
Ya'll seem to forget JLC has a strong chin, and he was KO from a body punch from probably the best body puncher in the game today, Im taking Witter to win it but certainly not within 4.
Still in the Hatton fight Castillo did not want to be there and I expect the same when he faces Witter.
Castillo would give Witter fits. Witter ain't going to like fighting somebody like Castillo, Castillo throws more punches per minute than Witter does in 2 rounds. Witter would eventually win cuz Castillo will fade, but he'd cause shitloads of trouble.
Agreed.I think Castillo may even last the full 12 due to there differing styles.Witter can sit on his punches more than Hatton but iv never seen Castillo hurt from single concussive shots. His the kind of guy you have to walk down.
Man Witter's skill set seems to keep getting better in the eyes of everyone on this board. I mean the guy is perhaps a style match up problem for Hatton but thats still a pick em fight. Seems as though he is becoming everyone's darling just because he knocked out a perennial underachiever or perhaps over hyped fighter in Vivian Harris. He doesnt throw a lot of punches and other than Harris guys like Corley, Lynes and N'dou all took him the distance. If there is some money to be made fighting Castillo he should jump at it. That being said Castillo could very well give him more than he can handle and then there will be another "darling" to spout off on
So what really, he won, N'Dou took Cotto the distance, gave both a tight contest, Corley took Mayweather Jnr the distance.
If the fight does happen in april and hatton is due to fight maybe put it on the undercard. Then it will force these two to fight.
Junior Witter vs Jose Luis Castillo ???? WTF! Castillo is now an old struggling fighter . . . beating Castillo shorter or longer than 4th round doesn't prove anything between Hatton and Witter. Witter should fight Malignaggi for a unification . . . that would be better.
I get the feeling that Castillo's demise has been grossly exaggerated. Hatton took Castillo's bread and butter away from him: He pressured the pressure fighter. I don't think Witter will fight the same fight since he is not the same kind of fighter Hatton is. Not to say that Castillo will win. Witter is the clear favorite. I just don't feel that he fights the kind of fight that will get the usually resilient Castillo out of there in the early rounds. I'd pick Witter by decision.
very true. witter will use that bloody awful style to negate castillos style and it will be a boring fight.
