Hearns KO. Winky had good defense but he could be hurt, he got knocked down 6 times by vazquez and was hurt by Shane. Hearns knocks him out.

Winky was a great fighter at his best, but Hearns was a level above.

winky always fought going forward behind his turtle shell defense, terrific jab, and a good punch output. Would be a very close fight and I truly can't pick one seeing as how Winky was my favorite fighter when he was active and Hearns was a GREAT fighter with tons of power in that right hand, along with a terrific jab. Would be a hell of a fight.

Hearns knocked Roberto Duran out in 2 rounds and would take Winky Wright's ****ing head off.

Hearns was also a master boxer. He outboxed Benitez at that weight. He is one of the three or four best head to head jr. middleweights ever. Hearns also outboxed Leonard for most of their first fight, and Winky wouldn't present a power threat to Hearns like SRL did. If he can outbox Leonard, he can outbox Winky.

Unless you guys think Winky could also "dominate" Leonard??

Hearns either takes him out with a vicious right hand, or picks up a clear decision win thanks to his fantastic boxing abilities.

Sorry guys, Winky wouldn't beat Hearns. He doesn't have the necessary tools.

Hearns, by wide decision or maybe even ko. He has the better jab and I see him dominating from the outside before he starts to punch through Winky's guard, like Taylor was able to.

I was thinking the same thing! there was another question about winky at 154 and I really could not think of many people who could beat him. I think Tommy does it with easy. Too much power, he could split that guard with easy. winky would have to be the aggressor because of Tommy's reach and he would walk into something . . . I think tommy matches up better than most with winky's style.

I think Tommy outboxed SRL for most of their second fight also.
