I think Pascal is to much for Shumenov and he has the power and explosivness to KO anyone. It could be a KO or a decision. Pascal has the footwork to stay out of trouble in the later rounds.
Shumenov by close decision. Pascal takes the early rounds, but he's there to be hit, and Shumenov has a motor like a mack truck. Once Pascal tires out a bit, Shumenov will find him, and I wouldn't be shocked if Beibut knocks him out late.
Meh. The same thing that happened to Dawson would happen to Shumenov. Guys can't go from fighting guys who haven't been relevant since the 90s to fighting true top ranked athletic fighters and look as dominant.
if anything he comes out with a shitload of confidence...fighting hopkins 2 times to a guy with 12 fights....i take pascal in this fight....
Then how do you explain Pascal's performance against Silvio Branco? Had he not knocked Branco down four separate times at the end of a round, he would have been well behind on the cards at the time of the stoppage. I think it's a close fight either way, but I favor Shumenov. And I favor Campillo to beat either of them by a wide margin, if he gets fair judging. And frankly, I'd favor Campillo to beat Hopkins too. He might be the most underrated fighter out there right now. Whoever said Pascal has no heart though just isn't thinking. He's proved over and over again that he has great heart. He just doesn't throw enough punches, and his technique is ****. He tries to rely on talent, and that works for the level of guy he's been fighting, but he's not a superhuman talent like Roy Jones. He just happens to be undisciplined and a VERY slow learner. But heart he's got in spades.
