at 140 who wins???? Cotto beat some very good fighters at 140 although some question his chin here. Kosta ruled the division for years but was hardly unbeatable as Phillipis and Hatton wrecked him. So who wins??

Tyszu beats him by late TKO, cotto was at his best at 147- around shane mosley time

Cotto wasn't strong enough at 140 to beat KT. I think Cotto is p4p probably better than KT, but at 140 I don't think he can stand up to the Mongolia/Russian Aussies power.

I take issue, though, with saying he was wrecked, at least by Hatton.
The Phillips beating was just what he needed as a young fighter to learn that he was indeed going to have to use some skill to win fights against top guys because you can't blow everybody out.
But it was a decisive loss so I won't argue much about it.

Hatton, however. That fight was one of the worst officiated fights I've ever witnessed. I've never seen a fighter maul and mug so much in my life, and yet the other guy constantly gets warned for this and that. KT was old, Hatton was young and the tactics he was allowed to employ suited him in that situation perfectly.
KT never said anything about it, but I still think it was disgraceful.

I'd favor Cotto, but KT always has a puncher's chance when speaking of MC of the 140 days.

Kosta probably knocks him out... not entirely sure though.

Good fight, but KT gradually takes it over and stops him late.

Pre-Margo Cotto wins but the current ghost of Cotto is KO'ed late.

I'd probably favor Tszyu either by late rounds KO or by hard fought decision in an absolute war. Cotto was prety good at 140, but he didn't really hit his prime stride till he jumped up to face Quintana at 147.

Straight right vs. Left hook. Who doesn't love those matchups?
