Which of the many times Roy jones has been ko'd is your favorite?

RJJ is my favorite all time fighter so I have cringed at each of his KO losses. But just remember one thing, none of the guys who KO'd joins or have beaten Jones by decision would have beaten him in his prime and that includes Slappy and any version of Hopkins. Judge the man by when he was at his best, not the shell of the man that has been fighting the last 6 or 7 years.

 

Glen Johnson, I don't really care that he was knocked out, it was just a brutal KO.

 

There are several fighters I am by no means a fan of, but I don't think at any stage I would enjoy anyone getting brutally Ko'd in the fashion Roy has. Anyone who actually enjoyed watching Roy getting sparked against Ledebev has serious issues.

 

I think it's very sad that people take such malicious pleasure in Jones' downfall. Okay yeah, devastating knockouts are great to see, but to sit behind a keyboard and mock a former great athlete like Jones is just pathetic. Just a bunch of armchair critics with no balls.

No ****. I suppose the devils advocate response would be "people have been telling him to hand it up for several years." Taking direct and admitted pleasure from watching someone get brutally KO'd is pretty F'd up.

Imagine how the keyboard warriors will respond when either or both Mayweather and/or Pacquiao declines and it shows in the ring. The passion and hatred is so strong there the forums would be an unpleasant place for a while; I really do think legions of posters would disappear.

For me it's not the fact people find pleasure in Jones' knockouts sad, I mean we're all boxing fans. A knockout is naturally pleasing for us to watch. It's the fact a lot of people try to label Jones a disgrace and mock him simply because he was a cocky (but amazing) athlete. Some people can't stand a guy who's on top of the world simply out of jealousy. No one admits it but deep down it's true.

 

Exactly. To be honest I doubt ONE of the posters on here would be less cocky, given his god given talents and his accomplishments. Id be off the wall, and I'm proud to say I've heard that he was a great guy out of the ring. He was a showman in the ring, and made sure the crowd left happy. Now hes like the old stripper thats obviously doing it to feed her family, who hates herself. Give your pity dollars to that stripper damnit, do not mock her! She worked hard, and in her prime you jerked off to her. God bless RJJ and strippers.
