Yeah, Mayweather's uncle jumped in the rind during the Judah fight, that could've been a DQ for Floyd. It's a slippery slope.

Since BOTH Mayweather and Pacquiao started their professional careers around the same time (1996 and 1995, respectively) and are nearly the same age anyway, I don't think it matters what age Pacquiao was when he was KO'd. Floyd was already manhandling his early opponents when Pacquiao experienced his second KO (his first KO loss to Torrecampo was before Floyd had started his professional career).

On the flip side of that, Manny didn't become Freddie Roach's pupil until 2001 - at which point he grew tremendously as a boxer and became a far more complete package. Floyd, however, has been training with and learning from his uncle Roger and father Floyd Sr. since he was a child. Manny didn't start his career in the Phillipines with some of the same luxuries and expert instruction that Floyd received from his childhood, so in some ways it has been a tougher road for Pacquiao to travel toward becoming more of a complete package as a fighter.

I'm a huge fan of both fighters - I generally try to stay away from the "Floyd's a ducker" and the "Manny's a steroid user" camps, but that's hard to avoid on ESB.

Both guys are exceptional boxers and surefire future hall-of-famers. Both guys have excellent speed. Both guys have tremendous footwork. Both guys have been in big-time fights, and both have gotten the nod on questionable bouts (Floyd vs Castillo I, Pacquiao vs Marquez II).

So whether Floyd's "0" is legitimate or not shouldn't matter - that's not a tangible asset once they step through the ropes. Records don't win fights - speed, stamina, power, defense and other far more important qualities win fights. Sugar Ray Robinson is considered the consensus pound-for-pound number one fighter of all time and the guy had a record of 173-19-6, so obviously being undefeated isn't the gold standard so many observers make it out to be.

 

I had Manny losing to Marquez and Mayweather losing to Castillo. No shame in it, but that's what it is in my eyes.

 

It should not matter how many losses a fighter has in the past , Now at a weight of around 144 for Pac and the 147 limit for Mayweather it is my opinion that Pacquiao would beat Mayweather..Remember, Ali did amazing things after hid first loss. In fact most of the ATG have losses in their careers..Any won agree???

Pacquiao got KO´d twice wich no one really cares about since he was young and inexperienced but he lost to Morales and in the eyes of many he lost to Marquez. Some say he lost to Marquez twice.
In Floyds case you can say he lost to Castillo but he beat him in a rematch right after the first fight(Castillo had a tuneup).
