:rofl he was probably thinking what point deduction? Not knowing that both of them got a point taken away
Party lines again. Floyds fans: Floyd Pacquiaos fans: Castillo Boxing fans: Floyd won , but he wasn't impressive or overly dominant. Floyd clearly won the rematch.
I thought the rematch was just as close as the first, though neither was close IMO. The difference was the distorted compubox numbers.
No, Floyd fan. Boxing fans have difficulty scoring the fight. Stop inserting the great debate into everything and being a simpleton. It does not require camps to see this as a close fight. It was no robbery as it could have easily gone the other way. Mayweather clearly won a highly competitive rematch which, inexplicably, saw the score cards closer than the original fight.
Found the old scoring card from fight night. First five rounds to Mayweather. Castillo wins 6 and 7, Mayweather wins 8 (Castillo gets a point deducted), Round 9 to Castillo, Round 10 to Mayweather minus 1 point deduction, round 11 dead even, round 12 Castillo. 115-112 Mayweather. Saw it two more times. Mayweather 114-113 (gave round 3 to Castillo)and Mayweather 114-112 (gave round 11 to Castillo). Mayweather sneaked in number of counters many viewers overlooked. Those who have Castillo winning should watch the fight with the volume down. Merchant's beef against Floyd blurs his judgement and Lederman experienced disconnects as it often happens. Note that Castillo got away with 3 blatant low blows.
I had floyd winning 2 rounds and generously at worse gave it a draw. Just bc a fighter wins big down the stretch doesn't mean he won more rounds. People are dumb as hell and just listen to the commentators as if they don't have the ability to judge themselves.
1 mayweather 10-9 2 mayweather 10-9 3 castillo 9-10 4 castillo 9-10 5 mayweather 10-9 6 castillo 9-10 7 castillo 9-10 8 --even--> 9-9 9 mayweather 10-9 10 castillo 8-10 11 castillo 9-10 12 castillo 9-10 mayweather 111 castillo 115 i agree with lederman's total score though i have castillo winning the 4th instead of the 5th. Can't remember how I scored it but remember thinking the wrong guy won. I personally think Castillo won. It was obviously fixed not a single judge gave Castillo the nod.
