Love him or hate him but B-Hop is a living legend. He shows all the youngsters what it takes to make it to the top: hunger and dedication! He's also a very very tough character. He irritates me more than often but he backs it up in the ring. I thought he would lose against Pavlik, same against Pascal. I don't see how he can beat Dawson who is much younger, faster and bigger but it's all about skills, experience and toughness at this point for Hopkins. He's bad for the other boxers of his division bc he puts them to shame to be honest!

Hopkins is a racist jackhole, but a great fighter regardless.

If he could keep his racism and ego in check, he would be a great ambassador for the sport.

Howcome B-Hop could be bad for boxing?!?!? The man is rewriting history when boxing needs it the most. He is THE master. Bottom line.

    Nope.
He's fukking up all the young lions that should be blowing him out, but instead, he's making them look bad. Or is it them making themselves look bad?
I don't know if it's bad or good, but I'll be watching that shet!

I dont understand why people think that a man has to break down because he is a certain age. Hopkins is living proof that the overcome is a greater general than the defeat. He is setting a standard and a goal for all those comming behind him. I know there's a young fighter out there saying to himself, Im gonna break Hopkins record and be a champion at fifty. Hey, its about believing in yourself. B Hop is a great ambassidor for boxing and all sports.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Part of the problem is considering someone a laughing stock for losing to Hopkins even at 46. He's not as good as he once was but he's damn good and a tough night out for ANYBODY.

I still think Pascal gives every other LHW serious problems even after the Hopkins loss.

Bernard is boxing for me. The fundamendal solid skills, the technicality and craftmanship, the tricks of the trade, the physical quality and the strategical wisdom-mind over matter, the speech and psychology, but above all, and like he says, the courage, which means to fight the power to be and to have been, throw your flag in the floor and look into thousands of you with nervs of steele. I am sorry, Hopkins could fight Ornelas the rest of his life, it means more than most Championship fights nowadays.

    No

If anything it demonstrates just how much capability the human body has even at an advanced age providing it is well looked after.

Hopkins is an example that age shouldn't be a stumbling block for anything. Look after your body and it looks after you.

Hell no. He's an asset. He's also a refreshing contradiction to the public perception that a long career in boxing results in brain damage, an irresponsible lifestyle and financial trauma.

Learn the english language. It's strategic. Strategical is American ebonics not english.
