Pavlik was just wanting more than the 1.35 million they were offering, no lies there. Kessler we don't know, with Sauerland in the picture....but for Johnson the offer is ridiculous, I agree with you.

The president is Eric Lucas. He knows some **** about boxing. He's just in for the money i presume.

Didn't Pavlik get a 1+ million offer? Do you think that's getting lowballed? I agree, the Johnson offer (if true) is ridiculous, but the offer Pavlik got, isn't.

Like I said, with Pavliks personal problems, he could've thrown away a good chance.

But what are the odds of both Johnson and Kessler lying about being low-balled?
And Glen Johnson NEVER complained about money, now all of a sudden he comes out saying he's awfully low-balled and ridiculed by interbox.

Glen and Mikkel does not strike me as guys who would lie.

Pavlik's beeing low-balled by his own promoter. As he said '' Top Rank wanted to cash me out''. Bute and I-Boxe have nothing to do about it.

It depends on what kind of revenue they expect the opponent to contribute. Pavlik was still only twice beaten, a fairly big name, and at least used to have big American support. I like Glenn Johnson I really do but he doesn't bring any fans with him and he's lost every significant fight he's had for about 6 years unless you count Allan Green. He's in even less of a position to negotiate than Pavlik was. In 2006 I went to see a Johnson fight (vs Clinton Woods for the IBF LH title) and his purse reported as 200 grand though that was pounds. He's not been a big earner because though entertaining and well respected he doesn't add anything economically. Hopefull they'll come up with a better offer and we can get a decent sounding fight on, but he should be careful not to price himself out.

Kessler offer = [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] "So, a way to get out is to try to low-ball where they think we won’t accept it, instead of saying ‘we don’t want to fight Glen Johnson.’"

Yes, and Pavlik also said "Kessler was offered $3m" which he took from reading websites and rumours.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pavlik neglected a good money fight, but Johnson and Kessler? No way.

Je crois que Lucas est président d'I-Boxe tandis que Bedard l'est a propos des Cages aux sports. Par contre, il s'occupe pas mal des négociations et des contrats.

Some you you always denied that Bute's camp offered 3M to Kessler but now it's legit because it's proving that Pavlik has been low-balled???

    What are you on about?

Do you have anything that proves Kessler was offered $3m?
It was all just rumours and bullish, nothing concrete.. Pavlik mentioned it, but chances are Pavlik got that number from reading websites.

If Pavlik is an idiot who believes rumours, its his fault thinking he was low-balled with $1.3m (package deal).

Good point , peoples know that Bute can sit 15 000 in the Bell Center so they want a part of the revenue but I-Box would have to understand that if they want someone with some credibility they will have to put there had in there pocket :-(
