He's fast, but he sure as **** isn't 'Gamboa fast', not enough to warrant the hype. The reality is that he is physically talented, is moderately skilled, but mostly is just a well protected novelty sell on the fact that he won the silver at age 17, something that the average person would eat up. He won't ever be anything significant past the british domestic scene.
No Khan is overrated in my opinion. Yes he is a very good prospect and at domestic level the best in the UK for his weight right now. But he has earned a fortune in the last two years for very little? The money that he has earned and the level of TV exposure he has had should be reserved for a World champion not a rookie? He will win a World strap of some sort no doubt if his entourage and family don’t get in the way.
china chin Khan will be knocked out when the starts fighting better opponents. Willie Limond is a tidy and underrated boxer but he has no power and he had Khan down, falling about, doing a dance and the ref cheated Limond out of a TKO win. Khan is a jumped up little twat who has had the red carpet rolled out in front of him...he's a total hype job and will not last at the top level.
yeah though apparently that was more a balance thing  He was on spaghetti legs and dropped heavily in his last ameteur fight. He has a weak chin and those who claim otherwise are deluded.
It's actually a bit more than one. He's been down three times since the Olympics, twice as a pro. People have been getting on his case a bit though (me included), but remember, he has been making some rather bold claims.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG1cBjZpFMQ&feature=related proof that limond was robbed and british boxing is corrupt and referees are in warrens pocket
After watching that, how can ANYONE think he can beat Anthony Peterson? Peterson would take him out in under 6. One well-timed hook is all it will take..
Yea i agree now i think they are protecting him just to make as much money as possible on the back of the olympic medal yet another warren hype job to make money. Is it possible his chin and ability to take punches can improve though ?
Thaxton wouldn't stand a chance. He's a good fighter but Khan is in a completely different league. Just look how easily he took Earl apart. Khan is definately underrated due to the hype surrounding him
Lets not forget though that anyone can get knocked down with a flush punch on the button though and it doesn't have to be a hammer blow. I still see the Hamed story here again though and the first quality world class opponent he faces will expose him.
People who know boxing a bit better say he is crap because the media makes out he is Ray Robinson reborn.
