Didn't we just do this about three days ago? Tyson takes it, being quicker, throwing better combos, being harder to hit, and having a more viscious temperament. Earnie would win one in ten, based on a lucky bomb. And I'm a Shavers fan.
oh sorry i just read the interview that james slater did with earnie and earnie said that he would ko mike so i decided to make this thread sorry guys i was just curios :hat
You do mega-overrate teh Chin of Tyson. He was KO'd 5 times. :dead:dead:dead:dead:dead Shavers does KTFO Tyson with one big haymaker is 4/10 fights imo. :deal Foreman HooooooooooooooooooK!:rasta
Tyson K.O 1, of course. Quarry demolished Shavers. I really rate Quarry, but there's no doubt Kid Dynamite does worse. It would last longer than Marvis, shorter than Spinks ;-)
Tyson gave up 5 times you mean? I never remember him being KTFO, even against douglas, that was just an accumulation of punches + exhaustion/frustration Tyson KO8 Shavers
Maybe it wouldn't be so easy for Tyson.Remember Tillis said that Shavers gave him toughest fight in his career and he said that Tyson fight was easy comparing to Shavers. You all mention Quarry.Quarry was counter puncher and Shavers said that he underestimated Quarry.Tyson never faced puncher like Shavers in his prime.Questin is how would he react when be hit by Shavers, maybe he would frozen up.For me Tyson in 7 of 10 fights.http://bigpunchers.blogspot.com/
Tyson KO1 Shavers Like the Jerry Quarry fight, but Shavers would last less than 2 minutes with Tyson.
Tyson destroys him in 9 out of 10 fights. The only thing Shavers brings to the table is a powerful right hand. That's it. He style is pretty deliberate, he comes forward and his skill set is pretty basic as in he doesn't have a variety of punches, for someone with his power he's a terrible finisher. And lefe; Tillis having an easier time with green 19 year old Tyson than he did with a veteran Earnie Shavers has no impact on how a Shavers Tyson fight would emerge especially since the Tyson that fought Spinks would have blasted out Tillis pretty early. Additionally, Tyson is a very adept counter puncher, his style although he leads is really reactive. Alot of his KO's have come from sharp counters. Tyson fought Ruddock, Bruno, Bone Crusher, and Lewis (past prime) he has tasted their power which frankly is in the same tier as Shavers. He has shown that his chin is very capable as it has never let him down in his entire career. His defense, and his stamina have let him down but his chin held up as much as it could. So power wouldn't be the deciding factor, not in the least.
