Wladimir Klitschko: Is longevity a factor?

I think he has slowed some. Watch Wladimir's fight with Haye and then his fight with Byrd.

 

You'd be surprised. A 14 year old right now somewhere in the world is watching a Mike Tyson highlight on youtube thinking he's the greatest fighters that ever lived.

 

Wlad IMO have about 5 years left easily.

I think that's probably about right....2-3 fights per year for a few years, and Wladimir will be getting close to 70 fights...that's a lot of fights for a big heavyweight.

Lewis only had 44 total fights, and Adamek will be Vitali's 45th.

Lewis was NOT fat, just carrying 5 extra pounds for a broadshouldered Johnson. He said as much himself.

He was only 36 and woulda been 37 had he took the fight with Vitali. He retired after his 44th fight, while Vitali, who carrys his own 5 extra lbs lately is still fighting strong now at 40, and likely well into his 41st year.

Wlad has what 53 fights. I think he can make another 12 in the next 5 years and break a few records. I do see some signs of slowing, but that could also be maturity and patience showing. IDK, but seeing how he is just so very much better than the last 2 generations of HW's, I can't see him wanting to let it go unless he wants to settle down with his new hottie and make a few brown babies.

 

The way he keeps care of his body and the fact he takes almost no punishment he could still be champ in 2020.

I'd say Wlad will continue to dominate until he's ready to retire. He's not accumulating the wear and tear of most fighters due to his style...And for the record, I don't think Wlad is boring. I think he's timid in the opening rounds. But by the time he starts opening up in the late rounds, I'd say he's pretty fun to watch. After all, not too many of his fights go the distance. Atleast not the ones where the opponent comes to fight

 

Having said the above, I don't see him continuing much longer. He does not seem to possess the passion of most fighters or else he hides it well

I think you are wrong mate, he just underestimated Sanders. After the first knockdown he was still underestimating the situation and tried to pay back immediately, which was an even bigger mistake.
