    I think he's staring at Jo Emma Larvin - who had gone to the Tesco's across the road - to get Joe a sandwich and a Diet Coke - because Joe doesn't like Steak and Kidney Pie - and he's watching his weight.

    Makes perfect sense.

    It explains while Larvin is not in the People Carrier with Joe.

    So Joe did eat after all - but it was Prawn Sandwichs from a Open til late Tesco Express - not Mickeys deep fat fried stuff.
