I am beginning to believe that Mayweather is copying Leonard's style to wait ....

If you really had the faith that Pac could beat Mayweather there would be no point of even making this thread. All this seems like is a built in excuse as you feel Pac will lose to Mayweather if/when they fight.

Just like the built in excuse was Pac was to small for Mayweather when they were first going to fight.

This must have already been stated in the thread, several times, but...

The premise does not seem to make much sense, being that Floyd is the older one, by about a couple of years.

You would think there would be more positive thinking about Pac and more threads like. Mayweather and Pac not fighting has allowed Pac to get more and more accustomed to WW which may turn out better for him then if they fought right away.

Instead there is thread after thread about Pac slowing down even though he has pretty much walked through his last like 7 opponents.

Isn't floyd older? It benefits PACQUIAO to age Mayweather like he did Marquez right?

But now you don't hear the same things said about Jones now. Before he went back down to LHW, many people thought no one could beat him in his prime. Now many people claim Calzaghe and Bhop would've beaten him at that time also. He's still an ATG but his stock has depreciated.

Leonard was retired from boxing for 5 years due to a detached retina, and as a result was past his physical prime himself (although not as battle-worn as he would've been) when he took on Hagler.

That's not to say that he was a saint in that regard, but Floyd makes him look like one.

    ring age:

    jmm: 18 years
    pacquiao: 16.5 years
    floyd: 15 years

floyd has the style for longevity while pacquiao has been in more fights and wars than floyd.

Floyd is gonna fight till he's Hopkins age.

Not a lot of wear and tear on this guy at all.

Floyd is definitely playing a waiting game.

I don't think he's scared, but he's definitely not keen on getting in the ring with Pacman. It's too much of a risk, even though he would be the favourite. He wouldn't be able to do his usual routine of just cruising through the match...he'd have to be in his highest gear, the one he usually doesn't need to use.
