    lol at Buncey moaning at Povetkin-Chagaev being for the WBA title when he was perfectly happy when David Haye went the exact same route.

    that was the proper WBA belt, this isn't. Klit won that from Haye

    Lee.....i love your show but take your toungue out sometimes.

    Haye did the exact same thing. I am a Haye fan....still....he did the same thing.

    Chagaev beat Valuev, Haye beat Valuev. Chagaev was the real WBA champion, got beat by Wlad so in reality Wlad should have been WBA super champion going into the Haye fight

    Woah I'm confused .... so Wlad won the Super World WBA title fighting Haye and this is just the World WBA title??

    When you look at Boxrec (http://boxrec.com/title_search.php?title=WBASUP&division=Heavyweight&SUBMIT=Go) it's like that Super belt has just been invented.

    Haye won the WBA World title as did Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis etc etc.

    Chagaev 'lost' the WBA belt cos he pulled out of the Valuev rematch very late with that achilles tear but made him 'champion in recess' then when they were supposed to fight againt Chagaev had Hep C, so Valuev was WBA.

    The WBA belt wasn't on the line when Chag fought Wlad.

    Imagine if there was one belt, let alone a million belts per body!

    This is why boxing is ****ed as a mainstream sport.

    I'll try and break it down easy for you Lee

    -WBA pretty much has 3 belts per division. The 'regular', which is the proper title. Now, if the holder wins another belt, he becomes the 'super champ'. Then, the WBA will install a 'regular' champ again, and then usually an 'interim' champ as well. So essentially they have a no.1, 2 and 3.

    -Chagaev was stripped. Wlad beat Chagaev easily. Valuev won the vacant title by beating Ruiz (again) in a borefest (again) Haye then 'won the title' from the Giant.

    -Wlad 'won the title back' from Haye. Already holding other titles, WBA made him the 'super champ'. Even though he should've already been that because Chagaev never lost his belt in the ring before Wlad beat him.

    -Now Wlad is 'super champ', WBA make the Povetkin fight for the 'regular title' and keep more sanctioning fee money coming in, and will get more when Wlad next fights. And when Poetkin next fights ;-)

    These intercontinental and international belts (which happen to look exactly the same as the world title belts) don't help matters either. Seems like anyone who wins a fight is presented with belt these days

    The fact that someone who follows the sport fairly closely like Lee has no clue what the craic is with the WBA belt tells you enough about the state of Boxing. :-(
