pavlik to fight duddy in june

Isn't Duddy being brought up a bit to early to fight Pavlik? The best guy he's beaten is Howard Eastman who is O.K. but hasn't been so great the last few years.

 

Pavlik should fight Abraham.

 

It should be a great fight between two big punchers. It will come down to who has the best chin and that's clearly Duddy as Pavlik has been floored or wobbled several times. Duddy will win by KO rd5.

 

i'm not ruling out a first round KO for pavlik. R.I.P duddy.

This fight makes a nice fat pay day for everyone involved, and that includes John Duddy. In fact a title fight against an enormously popular champion in Pavlik would no doubt be Duddy's biggest pay day to date. In spite of John's likability and popularity his career isn't progressing. He is still pretty much the same fighter who struggled against God's first sparring partner, Yori Boy Campus. Duddy's best opponents are guys who can't make 4 rounds with Pavlik, but he is an exciting fighter with money making potential. This is his opportunity to cash out before some tomato can, or some kid with 12 fights, exposes him for the "c" level fighter he is. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

From what I have heard, the fight will definitely be in Ohio, not New York. I have heard two possibilities and that is Pavliks home town Youngstown or Cleveland, both places it will be an outdoor event at football stadiums. My feeling is they are going to sell tickets cheap to prove that Pavlik can sell out stadiums. Plus it will be a thank you from the Ghost to is hometown fans who will eat the tickets up. Anyways, agree about Duddy not being ready for the big stage yet but I don't think you can pass up the payday. And on the Abraham note, I think Pavlik is planning on facing him in the fall as he wants to come to the U.S. and fight or at least thats what he said. The only other fight right now for Pavlik in the fall is a possible showdown with Calzaghe who has to my knowledge offered Pavlik incredible money for a fall fight in the U.K. but they both have big fights to worry about first.

 

Are you saying Calzaghe is going to make good on calling Kelly out after the Taylor fight? Man I hope so. Pavlik KO11 Calzaghe. Can't wait to see Slappy joe get Pavlikated!
