calzaghe vs froch........ who would win?

    Fail to understand any of the hype around Bellew, he's awful.

    Calzaghe would ease to a wide UD over Froch, Ward will have more problems with him.

    Calzaghe woud have won. Talents like him don't come around very often (even if he spent his prime in relative obscurity outside of the UK).

    Maybe they will make the fight if Froch beats Ward.

    Calzaghe would through too much and be too awkward for Froch to hurt. Since Ward is Calzaghe with a headbutt, Froch isn't likely to win that either.

    calzaghe should beat froch. the early rounds would be evenly matched, amybe even going into the 7th or 8th, but then I'd expect Joe to run away with it.

    good job someone on here knows what they're talking about. the people who say calzaghe should of fought froch back then are clueless. no one knew or cared for froch at that point. had calzaghe agreed to fight, he would of been slaughtered for taking on someone of that status. he was only the british champ. fighting jones was a good move. fighting froch at that point... crazy stupid.

    Calzaghe obviously when he was boxing. However if Froch wins the super 6 then goads Joe out of retirement for a big payday- im not so sure.

    I remember watching soccer am with Froch phoning up joe begging for a fight :rofl:rofl:rofl

    there was no credibility in a froch fight back then.

    If Froch wins the super 6,and I dont believe he can cos hes too slow,then I think he would tempt Calzaghe out for a mega-bucks world title fight.
    JC wins and retires to more glory.

    I have all the respect in the world for Carl Froch and have enjoyed following his career more than I did Calzaghe's, but Froch would be plainly overmatched against Joe. The only clear advantage he would have is power. Froch's other assets i.e. chin, heart, stamina, courage, Calzaghe could match, along with his considerable advantage in speed, output and skill.
