He cann have all the two digits millions he has and all the endorsements but the fact is that millionaires have gone brocke before. Tyson, Holyfield, Robinson even George Foreman went broke.(Made more money then any boxer with the foreman grill)
That's true. But to claim that he is broke now is an utter lie. It's funny how no one can even provide a single link to a credible newspaper or TV news report of Pacquiao's supposed financial problems, especially when this would be a major headline in the Philippines. All the news about Pacquiao now is about how he performs his public duties better than anyone else ever imagined, about his philanthropic activities in his province, and about his purchase and/or construction of a new property.
first of all, I don't believe that Roach told Brin-Jonathan Butler that Pacquiao was broke. second, even if he did he's probably wrong. I'm gonna copy what I wrote in another thread.
Ok, so we have Koncz and Arum admitting that Pac's endorsement deals were in shambles as of early 2011 here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/06/sports/06boxing.html?_r=3 In this article, they mention he missed out on a potential Gatorade deal, as well as other endoresments. Then, we have the whole issue of Manny hiring Visionqwest to to sort out his finances and investigate any wrongdoings of people around him here: http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content10357.html Then we have Kelly Pavlik stating that he knows Pac gambles and has been asking Top Rank for advances here: http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content10462.html Then Manny fired Visionqwest allegedly at the behest of Arum, because they were going to get info from the NSAC regarding his Top Rank fight contracts. http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content10576.html And now Freddie Roach is saying Pac is broke and has to keep fighting here: http://onthebeak.com/2011/08/20/fre...-will-have-to-keep-fighting-its-his-life-503/ So my question is, are all these people lying? Or does Elie Seckbach need to report it before it is valid?:huh
You quoted fighthype, and a site called onthebeak.com. Hardly credible. Koncz and Arum saying that Pac's endorsement deals are in shambles doesn't mean that he is broke. It just means they think he could be making even more money. Pac just made 52M$ last year according to Forbes magazine and probably made around 40M the year before. Has an ongoing deal with Nike with a line of shoes that bear his name. He has a new commercial deal with HP with ads running on major networks, even news networks like CNN. And that's not counting his several other ad deals including head and shoulders, San Miguel, and some pharceuticals. He has several companies in his country including gas stations, bottled water, clothing, and more. He's also a congressman which I'm sure gets him paid as well. And he has another 25M$ purse coming up in November. To top it off he lives in a country where the cost of living is very very very low. You can believe what you want to believe, but it's not logical. I mean Kelly Pavlik? how would he know.
As a teen Tyson had access to Bill Caytons and Jimmy Jacobs fight film library , said at the time to be the most extensive collection in the world , many have been impressed over the years with Tysons wealth of boxing knowledge especially the old timers from the early days of the gloved era - I think if he got into commentating he'd be fantastic what with his sense of boxing history and tradition. That manny can be broke is a criminal act perpatrated by those around him who are meant to have been looking out for him all these years - pac should have had a healthy investment portfolio for his retirement insurance alongside annuity endowments - not having to keep fighting Arums house fighters just to maintain a lavish lifestyle - someones gotten real fat off the back of Manny - I bet uncle Bob is not worried about his finances.
sr: i dont want my son to fight pac greenburg: i dont know why floyd suddenly doesnt want to fight roger: its stupid for floyd to fight pac after ortiz jeff: floyd will fight pac in 2013 jr: pac you're next who's lying there? point is, *****s believe who they want to believe!!!:deal
This thread isnt even about Floyd, lol!! But while we are at it: Arum: "We agreed to the testing demands." Koncz: "Manny is afraid of needles." He doesnt want to get tested within 14 days of the fight. Arum" We dont want to use USADA." Pac: "We Agreed to all of the testing." Roach: "We're not going to give in to MAyweather's demands".
If you believe jr, despite what his teams says, why cant you do that with pac? it brings back to my point that you believe what you want to believe..:deal
