If you could have seen Floyd Mayweather fight 1 of these guys, who would it be?

Maybe they would. I can live with him bypassing tzyu at lightwelter because it's traditionally a stepping stone weight, guys like pea and duran never really bothered with it.

I can live with ndou and sosa providing he takes some big wins at welterweight which he looks set to attempt. Ortiz, pac and khan is a great trio of fights.

I think Floyd vs Marg in 06-08 would have shown what Floyd can really do. Imagine him facing Marg from the Cotto fight. If Cotto couldn't keep Marg off could Floyd? Of course Floyd fights off the back foot better than Cotto and would use the ring better and not neglect the body but he also has less power and brittle hands. He wouldn't be able to potshot for 12 rounds. Also as Popkins said in 06/07 Floyd looked alot smaller and probably wouldn't be able to match up to Marg in the clinch like he did Mosley last year.

 

I would have loved to see all of those, but my prefrence goes like this (in terms of those time frames):

Pacquiao
Cotto/Mosley
Margarito
Williams
Tszyu

The Cotto fight could´ve been huge. I remember I was very excited about that fight, shame it never happened.

 

if not for the pacquiao fight, i'm sure most people would have voted cotto. this one is really huge back then in 2008, it crazy when ellerbe just brushed cotto off as a non-draw.
